Solae runs paid patient acquisition for aesthetic clinics: approval-first creative, WhatsApp booking, and numbers every week. You fund the ads. For the first 30 days you pay per booked consultation and nothing else.
Built on the KKM clinic advertising guideline in force since 5 June 2026, the MMC social media guideline, and Meta's health and wellness standards.
KKM rewrote the clinic advertising guideline this year. The safe move is not to advertise less. It is to build creative from the rules up.
Packages and price cuts are allowed. Free treatments are not. Gifts of any kind are not. Half the "Raya promo" posts in the Klang Valley break one of those two lines.
KKM 7.1.3 and 7.2Meta loosened its rules in July. The Medicine Advertisements Board did not. Its standing decision is that advertisements should not contain before and after pictures. In Malaysia, that is the one that counts.
MAB 2/2019Your doctor's name, qualifications and field can be stated. "Ten thousand procedures", "most experienced in PJ" and patient praise for their skill cannot. The doctor on camera educating is the format that works and the one that passes.
KKM 4.2 and 4.5, MMC 2.6Same Solae process. Diagnose the buyer, build around them, put it into market and keep it sharp. For clinics, "build" includes the approvals.
Who your best patient is, what they believe, and what moves them to a consultation.
Two content lanes, one landing page written to the guideline, one WhatsApp flow with a single call to action: book a consultation.
Meta campaigns to adults only, tuned weekly on cost per booked consultation, not impressions.
Anything that names a treatment and invites people in needs Lembaga Iklan Ubat approval first. We plan for it instead of pretending it does not exist.
Content that makes no treatment claim does not need approval. It builds the audience the approved ads convert.
We only take clinics we can advertise legally. That protects you as much as us.
This is the first check every piece of our creative goes through. It is indicative, not legal advice, and it does not replace Lembaga Iklan Ubat. It does catch the mistakes that get posts reported.
Rules cited: KKM Garis Panduan Pengiklanan untuk Kemudahan dan Perkhidmatan Penjagaan Kesihatan (Pindaan LIU 1/2026), Medicine Advertisements Board Policy and Decision (Services) April 2026, MMC Dissemination of Information Guideline V2/2025, Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956 s.4A, Meta Advertising Standards.
KKM, MMC and Meta, cross-referenced, in plain English. What you can say, what you cannot, and what needs a KKLIU number before it goes live. Print it and put it next to whoever posts.
or by email
You will get the checklist, then four short messages over two weeks on the rules clinics most often trip on. Reply stop at any point.
“Good marketing for a clinic is buyer psychology made visible, inside the lines the regulator drew. Most agencies only do the first half.”
Temara Inigo founded Solae after four years building marketing strategy for AI and B2B technology companies, and before that running end-to-end SEO programmes for an international agency serving more than a hundred and fifty clients. Solae is strategy first. The strategist who writes your brief is the person who delivers it, and every key decision happens with you in the room.
Paid media, landing pages and the automation behind the weekly numbers are run by Solae's performance partner, who has built and scaled paid acquisition for an education business in Malaysia from zero.
If an ad refers to a skill or service for treating, preventing or diagnosing a condition of the human body, and invites people to seek it, yes. That is section 4A of the Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956 and paragraph 1.3 of the KKM guideline. Ads that make no treatment claim, educational pieces without an invitation to book, signboards, seminar notices and award announcements are exempt. We plan creative in both lanes so approvals never become the bottleneck.
Not in advertisements. The Board's decision MAB 2/2019 says advertisements should not contain before and after pictures, and that decision was carried into the April 2026 policy list. Meta permits some of it for general cosmetic procedures, but Meta's permission does not override KKM. In a consultation, with consent, that is a different conversation and a clinical one.
Packages, discounts and price reductions on your own services are allowed and can be stated plainly, for example "20 percent off on Mother's Day". Free treatments are not allowed. Gifts of any kind are not allowed. Comparing your price with another practitioner's is not allowed.
Yes, with limits. Photos of registered practitioners are allowed in broadcast and online media within size limits and must not be self-promotional. Names, qualifications and field of practice can be listed. What is not allowed is promoting an individual doctor's skill, knowledge or experience, or showing a practitioner performing a procedure on a patient. Our best-performing format, the doctor explaining a treatment to camera, sits inside all of that.
Both are allowed only about the premises: cleanliness, hospitality, environment. Neither may speak to the treatment received or the doctor's skill. Influencers, models, treated patients and other professionals all count as celebrities under the guideline. The Board also does not allow ads that use patients receiving treatment, so any "patient" in an ad is a model with the required statement on screen.
You do. Ads run from your Business Manager with us as a partner. KKLIU approvals are issued to the clinic. If we part ways, everything stays with you.
No. We work from the public guidelines, we file approvals properly, and we keep your creative inside them. Decisions on approval belong to Lembaga Iklan Ubat, and professional conduct questions belong to the Malaysian Medical Council.
We will tell you which would pass, which would not, and why. Thirty minutes, no deck. If it is a fit, we scope the pilot together.
